The Clarkcast opener or "theme song" is played at the beginning of every hour of every show. Unlike the bumper music rotation, the show's opening is the same every hour.
Meaning
This particular version was designed to symbolize the current struggle across America. If you've listened to Matt at any length, you know he is a strong proponent of a constitutionally limited government. The audio clips within this opener outline the "leaders" of today and yesterday who have very differing ideologies with the size of government. For example, take Presidents Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. Two Republicans, but with opposing views on the size of government. To show you how even the GOP has embraced big government, take a look at the infamous George Bush quote, "I've abandoned free market principles to save the free market system."
