Just hours away from Super Bowl XLVI, Matt talks a little politics with football. MSNBC host Martin Bashir, a British-born political commentator, believes the NFL is a perfect example of "socialism" and should be implemented on a political level here in the United States. You'll hear his argument and also hear Matt's poor British accent, mocking Bashir's ridiculous claim. At the bottom of the hour, the Clarkcast focuses again on Operation Fast and Furious. Rep. Darrell Issa's (R-CA) committee on Oversight and Government Reform has been grilling Attorney General Eric Holder for this botched operation that resulted in the death of Border Agent Brian Terry. Michigan's own Tim Walberg (R) questions Holder on the 2nd Amendment implications, suggesting this operation was designed to curtail gun rights in the United States. This is quite the segment on the program and one you'll want to hear!

Hour two begins with stunning audio from Barack Obama. At the yearly National Prayer Breakfast, the President invokes the teachings of Jesus Christ to justify raising taxes on the rich. When has our Savior advocated for government to be the charity machine that takes care of the poor? We don't think that's not in the Bible. Next, Matt plays audio from comedian and actor Chris Rock who believes his taxes should be raised. Why? Well, according to him, giving more money to the government creates jobs. Simply, "shocking!" His rationale gets better. Chris Rock also believes that Barack Obama is a father figure to the country; as citizens, we should listen to our father. At the bottom of the hour, the segment begins with Mitt Romney's claim that he's not too worried about the very poor because they have a safety net. This jump starts the discussion on the rampant welfare usage and problems with poverty here in the United States. Last, do you remember Scott Brown? The once up-and-coming GOP Senator from Massachusetts has become quite the Barack Obama supporter. This further supports Matt's argument that the problem is not Republican vs. Democrat or left vs. right. It's big government vs. personal freedom.
