In the very beginning of Barack Obama's presidency, he clearly stated that if his big government policies do not work in three years, the American people would reject his leadership. Here we are two and a half years later. Our coveted AAA credit status has been downgraded by a major credit agency, and our borrowing has skyrocketed overnight since the debt "compromise". Matt yet again outlines what's to blame; however, many on the left will cast blame on anyone else but themselves. Senator John Kerry (D-MA) is leading the way to blame the Tea parties for the downgrade.

Hour two of this broadcast continues to focus on the main culprit of our financial mess: big government. (IMPORTANT: If you missed August 7th's first hour, it's a must hear!) The talk point of the left is to blame the Tea party. Former Vice President Al Gore is one of the big mouth pieces. Gore explains that the United States needs to have its own version of the "Arab Spring", outlining that the Tea party isn't a true grassroots movement. In the second half of the hour, State Senator Patrick Colbeck (R) of Michigan's 7th District joins Matt on the Clarkcast to discuss the debt, spending, and other national issues to spotlight how it plays into the state of Michigan. Senator Colbeck also speaks to Matt about education reform, the health care compact, the 17th Amendment, and more!
