Hour 2 - Sunday, February 19, 2012

Hour two begins with Stacy Swimp (www.stacyswimp.net) - a black conservative and a "frontline fighter" - joining Matt on-air. Stacy gives his take on the current GOP presidential hopefuls and argues that social issues are indeed important. At the bottom of the hour, new audio from Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner reveals that the Obama Administration has no "definitive solution" for our escalating debt crisis. With all of Obama's massive spending (more than George Washing through Bill Clinton - combined!), wouldn't you think the administration would have a plan to reduce our deficit spending? To make matters worse, Timmy testifies while laughing and giggling during a House committee hearing (www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwjrkDi55Rs). Next, Matt asks the question, "At what point does our national debt blatantly impact the average American?" Unfortunately, it has already. Just take a look at the rising costs of food, energy, and just about everything else.

Hour 1 - Sunday, February 19, 2012

Matt recalls a segment from his show a few weeks back. On January 7th of this year during a GOP presidential debate, candidates were asked about states outlawing contraception. Completely stunned by why such a question would be asked, candidates laughed at the issue while being confused by its origin. The following day, Matt was on the air with the answer - it's a distraction. A month later, it would seem the Obama Administration has waged war against the Catholic Church by forcing Catholics to go against their religious beliefs. Again, it's a distraction (while also creating another issue against the First Amendment). The Clarkcast delves into this distraction, the reason for it, and then takes takes some calls. At the bottom of the hour, Matt spotlights audio of Rick Santorum standing up against the left-wing media. The former Senator also reminded us that Barack Obama got a pass in 2008 for his 20-year affiliation with Reverend Jeremiah Wright. Remember Reverend Wright? You'll get a reminder of his anti-American rhetoric. Last, Obama was recently asked about his "fundamental transformation" of America. His response is nothing short of hilarious.

Hour 2 - Sunday, February 12, 2012

Have you stopped and taken a look at how messed up we've become as a society? If your answer is "yes," then you're not alone. Matt pulls out a few headlines from this past week that should make the average thinker ask, "What has happened to my country?" At the bottom of the hour, February's Trigger Talk Radio segment with Dick Cupka spotlight's New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's anti-gun stance. Playing audio from an interview two weeks ago, Bloomberg cites the tragic shooting of former Congresswoman Gabriel Giffords as a reason to push stricter gun laws, despite also acknowledging laws already on the books.

Hour 1 - Sunday, February 12, 2012

As the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) comes to an end this weekend, Matt takes a look at the opposition to this political conference. Stunning audio reveals that the "Occupy CPAC" protesters were fully funded and supported by big unions. At $60 a head, out-of-work union members stood outside of CPAC with signs and chants, many of whom having no clue what they were actually "protesting." At the bottom of the hour, Thomas LaDuke from FTR Radio (www.ftrradio.com) joins Matt on-air to discuss his experiences at CPAC this year, the reception of CPAC toward the GOP presidential hopefuls, and the poor performance of the mercenary protesters. Last, Matt gives Clarkcast producer Dane Kabcenell an on-air tribute to his decision to join the United States Army.

Hour 2 - Sunday, February 5, 2012

Hour two begins with stunning audio from Barack Obama. At the yearly National Prayer Breakfast, the President invokes the teachings of Jesus Christ to justify raising taxes on the rich. When has our Savior advocated for government to be the charity machine that takes care of the poor? We don't think that's not in the Bible. Next, Matt plays audio from comedian and actor Chris Rock who believes his taxes should be raised. Why? Well, according to him, giving more money to the government creates jobs. Simply, "shocking!" His rationale gets better. Chris Rock also believes that Barack Obama is a father figure to the country; as citizens, we should listen to our father. At the bottom of the hour, the segment begins with Mitt Romney's claim that he's not too worried about the very poor because they have a safety net. This jump starts the discussion on the rampant welfare usage and problems with poverty here in the United States. Last, do you remember Scott Brown? The once up-and-coming GOP Senator from Massachusetts has become quite the Barack Obama supporter. This further supports Matt's argument that the problem is not Republican vs. Democrat or left vs. right. It's big government vs. personal freedom.

Hour 1 - Sunday, February 5, 2012

Just hours away from Super Bowl XLVI, Matt talks a little politics with football. MSNBC host Martin Bashir, a British-born political commentator, believes the NFL is a perfect example of "socialism" and should be implemented on a political level here in the United States. You'll hear his argument and also hear Matt's poor British accent, mocking Bashir's ridiculous claim. At the bottom of the hour, the Clarkcast focuses again on Operation Fast and Furious. Rep. Darrell Issa's (R-CA) committee on Oversight and Government Reform has been grilling Attorney General Eric Holder for this botched operation that resulted in the death of Border Agent Brian Terry. Michigan's own Tim Walberg (R) questions Holder on the 2nd Amendment implications, suggesting this operation was designed to curtail gun rights in the United States. This is quite the segment on the program and one you'll want to hear!

Hour 2 - Sunday, January 29, 2012

As we move into the 2012 general election, the left is going to make taxes and "fairness" a big issue. What is "fairness" though? It's so important for you to know the truth. Audio from MSNBC's Al Sharpton is a perfect example of manipulation and casting false blame upon success. The Rev. Sharpton claims that an investor paying a lower capital gains tax than income tax is not "fair". Meanwhile, Obama is telling the country we need to implement the "Buffett Rule" and tax the rich more - essentially the same argument made by Sharpton. Matt thoroughly explains this flawed stance, which is nothing more than an attack against success and prosperity. At the bottom of the hour, Professor Bill Kauffman joins Matt on-air to discuss his candidacy for University of Michigan Regent.

Hour 1 - Sunday, January 29, 2012

The President was recently in the People's Republic of Ann Arbor with a message to our universities - you must lower tuition rates. Matt finds this stance by Obama a bit strange, since he also supports the Occupy Wall Street movement - a radical push against student loans that make no mention of lowering tuition costs but rather embrace their liberal institutions. Next, Matt dedicates almost three segments on a propaganda image he saw on Facebook. This particular picture gave a long list of false "accomplishments" by the President. As we move toward the general election, you're going to be hearing a lot of misinformation and lies. Matt cites examples of unemployment, TARP fraud, bailouts, border security, and much more. Buckle up and make sure you're informed. Last, new audio from Representative Allen West (R-FL) tells Barack Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi to "get the hell out of the United States of America." Are such remarks justified? Take a listen!

Hour 2 - Sunday, January 22, 2012

Personal responsibility is this hour's theme. Matt begins with a story out of California with student's rebelling against a forced health food menu. Some may be asking, "What's wrong with kids eating healthier?" Absolutely nothing; however, it should not be the government's role to make such decisions. The power lies with the parents, who have an obligation and responsibility to take care of their children. Matt also spotlight's Michelle Obama's "Let's Move" campaign, which is quite similar to this story. Next, new audio from presidential candidate Rick Santorum showcases his correct grasp of the dangerous 17th Amendment. Strangely, he's not for repealing it. At the bottom of the hour, Andrew Coughlan from the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) discusses his experience in Iraq and how this great charity has helped him.

Hour 1 - Sunday, January 22, 2012

As Newt Gingrich wins South Carolina, Matt looks to the general election and questions if any Republican candidate has a chance to win. Seems like a "glass is half empty" question, right? When you factor in the Obama "coolness" variable, one must really understand how this game is played. While you may know and understand the real issues like spending, debt, security, etc., much of the voting population does not. They'll vote for the candidate that looks the coolest or has the "shinny objects" that draws many people. That's one variable among many. For example, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D) is now playing offense against Gingrich, claiming he's dropping racist "code words". You'll be quite shocked by the audio. Next, Matt discusses Barack Obama's recent visit to Walt Disney World. Turns out, the President literally shut down the Magic Kingdom's "Main Street U.S.A." for Obama's speech and photo-op. How symbolic is this? An blog entry by Matt's friend Rich Hoffman (www.overmanwarrior.com) perfectly outlines this symbolism. Rich then joins Matt on-air to further discuss his take on shutting down Main Street U.S.A., both literally and figuratively.
