Great Dane
Dane Kabcenell is the executive producer and phone screener of the Clarkcast. Dane is originally from Naples, Florida where he lived for most of his life. Like Matt, Dane's interest in politics started at a young age. In high school, Dane was very active in the school's mock government club, Harvard Model Congress. He was very outspoken about his political beliefs and did very well in the club. After Dane graduated from high school, he moved to Ann Arbor to attend the University of Michigan like his father and mother before him. He started at Michigan in the computer science department but quickly realized that computer science was not his true calling. Currently, Dane is pursuing a degree in political science focusing on American politics. While in Ann Arbor, his need to be outspoken about politics was fueled by being surrounded by people of differing views.
Dane and Matt met at the University of Michigan within the residence halls. After discovering they shared similar political views, Matt invited Dane to join the Clarkcast and be a part of the show. During the show, Dane found a good way to express his political opinions alongside a fellow conservative. For the past two years, Dane has worked with Matt on the show and occasionally chimed in on air. Now he is a regular contributor to the show and also works as a phone screener for the program.
